About this catholic priest gift
A Catholic priest's days run on a schedule that isn't their own: Masses at dawn and in the evening, hospital calls, confessions on Saturday, a parish council meeting that runs long, and a rectory phone that rings at odd hours. The gifts that land tend to be the ones for the hours between all that. A soft tee for a day off, a hoodie for the cold walk from the church to the rectory, a mug for the kitchen table where the morning coffee and the Office of Readings happen. Putting the words Catholic Priest on the design makes the gift specific to what they do, and a second line with their parish, their ordination year or a name they're known by turns a generic shirt into one that's theirs. Many parishes also give a gift at an anniversary of ordination, which is a natural time to order.
