About this evidence custodian gift
An evidence custodian keeps the chain of custody intact, so every item logged in is exactly what gets handed back out, down to the seal and the signature. The work is quiet and precise, usually in a back room with a locked cage, a ledger and a lot of paperwork, and it's rarely thanked by anyone outside the department. A gift that says evidence custodian on it tells them someone noticed. A soft tee for the long shifts in a cold storage room, a hoodie for the chilly warehouse, or a mug for the first coffee of the morning at the property desk are all practical choices. Add their agency or unit on a second line if you know it, and the piece stops being a generic job shirt and becomes theirs. Keep the wording as they'd say it at work, since that's the part they'll recognize first.
All evidence custodian gifts →- A tee for the property roomPick the dark tee if they wear black on duty, and put evidence custodian on the front for their days in the storage room.
- A mug for the early shiftAn 11oz mug with their job title gives the property desk a coffee cup that's clearly theirs.
- A hoodie for the cold storage roomEvidence rooms are often chilly, so a hoodie with their title keeps them warm during long inventory days.
- A kids tee for the familyIf their own kids are curious about what Mom or Dad does all day, a kids tee with the job title is a fun way to start that conversation.
