About this resistance welder gift
A resistance welder spends the shift at a press, clamping metal and firing current through it in short, repeated bursts, and the work only holds up if every spot weld is consistent. Spot welding is common in auto body shops, appliance plants and sheet-metal fabrication, so the people who run these machines often work in production lines where the same job goes on for hours. A gift that fits that routine tends to be practical and plain: something warm for a cold plant floor, a mug for the break room, a shirt that sets them apart from the other operators on the line. Put the word resistance welder on the front, then add the shop name, shift or their own name on a second line so it reads as theirs. Because the trade has many specialties, a welder who has done this for years will notice when a design gets the title right and when it doesn't, so a little attention to the wording goes a long way.
