About this eap counselor gift
An EAP counselor, short for employee assistance program counselor, is the person a worker calls when a divorce, a bereavement, a drinking problem or plain burnout starts spilling into the job. Their days are a run of short, confidential sessions, referrals and follow-up calls, and much of the work happens out of sight. The gifts they tend to keep are the ones that let them step away from that: a soft tee for a weekend hike, a hoodie for the cold walk to the parking garage, a mug for the first quiet cup before the phone starts ringing. Putting EAP Counselor on the front is a nod to the role most people never see. Add their name or their program's year on the second line and it becomes theirs. Since EAP work is often done in a contracted or small team setting, a shopper can also order one design for the whole group in the Team Shop, with each counselor's name on their own shirt.
