About this hand engraver gift
A hand engraver works with a tool in one hand and a steady eye for the cut, putting names, monograms and borders onto metal, glass and trophies one stroke at a time. It's slow, precise work, and the people who do it tend to be proud of their steadiness and of the fact that most of their work ends up on something someone treasures. A shirt or mug with their trade on it says you noticed what they actually do, not just that they have a job. Put their name on the design, or add a line about the work, like hand engraved or engraving since a given year, and it becomes personal. Shops, guilds and studio crews often order matching pieces, and the Team Shop can print one design with each person's name on their own shirt. For a hand engraver, a gift that looks like it came from a workbench, plain and well made, usually lands best.
