About this network director gift
A network director usually keeps the lights on for everyone else. They're the person who gets the 2 a.m. call when the VPN drops, who signs off on the upgrade nobody thanks them for, and who knows exactly which closet holds the spare switch. Gifts that land for this person tend to be practical and a little dry, the kind of thing they'd wear to a team offsite or set on the desk next to three monitors. A soft tee or a hoodie works for both the office and the weekend, and a mug with their title gives them a small piece of recognition every morning. To make it theirs, put their title on the main line and, if you like, a team name, a site or a year of service on the second line. Add the years they've been running the network and it reads as earned, not generic.
All network director gifts →- A hoodie for the server roomServer rooms run cold, and a hoodie with their title on it is a gift they'll wear to the next on-call shift.
- A mug for the early standupPut network director on an 11 oz mug so their coffee has a title as well as a team.
- A tee for the team offsiteAdd the team or site name on the second line so the shirt matches the people they work with.
- A dark tee for the weekendDark shirts suit a day off as much as a day in the office, and the title still reads clearly.
