About this research asst gift
A research assistant spends a lot of the day with spreadsheets, interview notes, reference lists and a stack of papers that never seems to shrink. Many of them are students or recent graduates still working out what comes next, and others are career staff who keep a lab or project running behind the scenes. Either way, the gifts that land tend to be practical and a little bit personal: a hoodie for the cold library or the drafty lab, a mug for the long afternoon of coding transcripts, a tee for the weekend. Make it theirs by adding the word research assistant in full, or the abbreviated research asst if that's how the lab label reads, and then use the second line for a name, a lab or department, or a graduation year. It turns a generic job title into something they'd actually wear.
All research asst gifts →- A hoodie for the labWear a warm hoodie on the days the building's heat is off, with their title and the year they joined the project.
- A mug for long data sessionsAn 11oz mug with their name keeps the coffee hot through another round of cleaning up survey data.
- A tee for the weekendA light tee works well for a break from the lab, and you can add their department on the second line.
- A kids tee for a family jokeIf they're a parent with a sense of humor, a kids tee that says research asst is a playful way to name their day job.
