About this resident surgeon gift
A resident surgeon is someone who has finished medical school and is now in the long training years of a surgical residency, often working eighty-hour weeks, covering overnight calls and learning the operating room one case at a time. The gifts that land for them are the ones that acknowledge how little sleep and how much effort that stage takes. A soft tee for the drive home after a double, a hoodie for the cold early mornings before rounds, or a mug that marks the coffee they can't do without. Personalize it with their name and the program or specialty, such as General Surgery or Ortho, and add the year they started or finish, so it reads as their own milestone rather than a generic doctor shirt. Residents are often moving between hospitals and rotations, so something that travels with them and is clearly theirs tends to get used far longer than a gift card. Think about when it will be used too: many residencies start in the summer, and graduation from training usually comes in late spring, both good moments for a surprise.

- A hoodie for the cold OR hallwaysHospitals run cold, so a hoodie with their name and training year is something they'll reach for on every overnight call.
- Matching shirts for the whole intern classPick one design in the Team Shop and paste the names of the residents in the group. Each person gets their own size.
