About this test pilot gift
Test pilots fly aircraft that nobody has flown before, so the people who do it tend to be precise, a little superstitious about checklists, and very good at not talking about the scary parts. A gift that says test pilot tells them their work is seen, which matters for a job most people only hear about in a movie. Pick a light tee or a dark one, depending on whether they're a hangar-floor type or a flight-suit type. A hoodie works for the cold ramp at dawn, and a mug is the one thing on the desk that's definitely theirs. If you want to go further, add the aircraft they test, the year they earned their rating, or the squadron or company name in the second line. Keep it to what they're proud of and it will land.
All test pilot gifts →- A tee for the hangarChoose a light or dark tee with test pilot on the front, and add their aircraft type or the year they got their rating underneath.
- A hoodie for the rampTest flights start early and get cold on the tarmac, so a hoodie with their title is something they'll reach for before every flight.
- A mug for the flight lineAn 11 oz mug with test pilot on it is the morning coffee gift for someone who briefs before they drink.
- A kids tee for a future test pilotIf the test pilot in your life has a child who talks about planes nonstop, a kids tee with the same word makes the connection clear.
