About this ultrasonographer gift
Ultrasonographers, often called sonographers, spend their days in dim exam rooms guiding a transducer over patients and watching the screen for the details a radiologist needs. The work asks for steady hands, sharp eyes and a calm bedside manner, because the person on the table is usually nervous. Many sonographers worked hard for their credentials, so the gifts they keep tend to show that. A tee or hoodie with their specialty printed on it, such as OB, cardiac or vascular, tells coworkers exactly what they do. A mug with their name is a good fit for the break room, where scan rooms run late and coffee gets cold. If you're buying for a whole department, one design with each person's name on their own shirt makes a fine thank-you, especially during Sonography Week, which is in late October. Add their credential, like RDMS or RVT, if they've earned one and want it shown.
