About this development lead gift
A development lead usually sits between the engineers who build the product and the people who need it shipped, so the job is half technical and half keeping a lot of moving parts from drifting apart. Their days are sprint planning, code review, a few hard conversations about scope, and more status meetings than they'd like. The gifts that land are the ones that acknowledge the crunch and the calm after a good release. A dark tee works for the weekend hackathon or the late-night deploy, a hoodie for the cold office or the home desk, and a mug for the coffee that's been reheated three times. Putting their title on it, Development Lead, or adding the team or product they run on the second line, turns a generic work shirt into something that's clearly theirs. If you're buying for the whole team, the Team Shop lets you print one design with everyone's name on their own shirt, which is a nice way to say thanks after a long release cycle.
