About this mechanical intern gift
A mechanical intern is usually a student or recent grad working the summer or a co-op term, carrying a laptop, learning CAD on the job, and figuring out which hands-on questions the senior engineers actually want answered. Long days in the shop or the test lab, plus a lot of listening, make a gift that's useful and a little bit funny land well. A tee for the drive in, a hoodie for the chilly machine floor, or a mug for the first morning coffee shows you know the work is real. Add the company or school if you know it, or the year they're starting, and the piece becomes theirs. A mechanical intern is often new to the team and still building a reputation, so a gift with their name and role on it can be the thing that makes them feel they've arrived.
