About this aulander gift
Aulander is a small town in Bertie County, in northeastern North Carolina, and the people who call it home tend to know everyone's name at the post office. A shirt that says Aulander is how someone shows that they belong there, whether they still live in town or left for a job in Raleigh or Richmond and come back for holidays. Small-town gifts land best when they feel specific rather than like a souvenir, so think about the person's street, their church, or the year they moved away. A hoodie suits a long walk through the fields in winter, and a mug is the easy everyday reminder of home for the one who moved away. Most designs include a second line where you can add a year, a family name or a nickname, which turns the town name into something that belongs to them.
