About this bailey island gift
Bailey Island is a small, rocky island on Casco Bay in coastal Maine, reached by a bridge from the mainland. People who grew up on it or spend summers there often carry the island with them long after they've left, in the lobster boats they remember, the granite shoreline and the quiet of the off-season. A shirt with Bailey Island on it tends to get worn to the beach, the dock, the ferry or the hardware store back home, and it starts conversations with other people who know the place. For a child who summers there, a kids tee or onesie is a way to mark a family tradition. For an adult who has moved away, a mug or hoodie is a daily reminder. Try adding a second line with a year, a family name or the cove or road they stay on, so the shirt belongs to their particular corner of the island.
