About this chevy chase gift
Chevy Chase is a village in Montgomery County, Maryland, just over the line from Washington, D.C., and it's a place people tend to hold onto. Some grew up on the tree-lined streets, some came for the schools, and some just spent years commuting past the Chevy Chase Circle and never left. A shirt with the name is how someone who lives there or used to live there says so without a long explanation. It works for a family moving out of the area who want something to remember it by, for a longtime resident who's always been proud of the neighborhood, or for a college student heading home for break. Because the name is a place rather than a person, the most useful thing you can do is make it theirs. Add the year they moved in, or a family name, or their own nickname for the place, and the shirt starts to belong to their story rather than to a map.
