About this crown city gift
Crown City is what people call Pasadena, and the nickname comes with a lot of local pride attached. A Crown City shirt tells people that someone is from the San Gabriel Valley, whether they grew up near the Rose Bowl, spend weekends at the Arroyo, or moved away and still say they're from here. For a native, the name works as a quiet inside joke. For someone who came for school or work and grew attached to the place, it's a way of saying they've claimed it as home. Pick a dark tee for a walk along the Arroyo, a hoodie for the cooler mornings, or a mug for the kitchen where they plan their weekends. Add a neighborhood or a year underneath, and the shirt starts to belong to one particular person's version of the city.
