About this duquesne gift
Duquesne is a small city on the Monongahela River outside Pittsburgh, and the people who grew up there tend to stay attached to it even after they've moved on to bigger places. A shirt with Duquesne on it is a quiet way to say where you're from, the kind of thing that gets noticed at a family reunion, a college reunion or a Pittsburgh-area ballgame. Steel country history runs deep in towns like this, so the people who come from one feel a real pride in the name. If the recipient has moved away, a mug or hoodie with their hometown reminds them of the river, the hills and the streets they know by heart. You can add a second line such as a graduation year, a street or a family name to make it theirs. It's a gift that says you remember where they started.
