About this east moline gift
East Moline is a small city on the Illinois side of the Mississippi, across the river from Iowa and just down the road from Moline and Rock Island. People who grew up there tend to be proud of it in a quiet way, the kind of pride that shows up at high school football games, county fairs and family reunions rather than on billboards. A shirt that says East Moline is how someone there tells you where they're from without a speech. It also works for the people who left for college or a job in Chicago or Denver and still feel the pull of home. A hoodie with the city name is a good gift for a student heading off to school, and a mug is the kind of small daily reminder a transplant appreciates. Because the city is small, a second line works well: type a year they graduated or a neighborhood nickname and the shirt becomes theirs in particular.
