About this eldorado gift
Eldorado is a name that carries a lot of meaning: the legendary city of gold, and a handful of real towns and places across the US that share the name. Whoever this gift is for probably grew up in one of them, or has a connection that makes the word feel like theirs. A shirt or hoodie with the name is an easy way to say you know where they're from, and a mug with it works for the kitchen of anyone who still gets homesick for the place. Since so many towns share the name, the detail that makes it personal is the second line: add the state, the year they moved, or the street they lived on. Eldorado also has a little built-in playfulness, since the legend is about a place people spent their lives looking for, which makes it a fun theme for a friend who has always been headed somewhere.
