About this fruitvale gift
Fruitvale is a neighborhood in Oakland, California, named after the orchards that once covered the area. Someone who grew up there or still calls it home carries that identity with real pride, and a shirt with the name is a quiet way to say where they're from. A tee for a weekend in the park, a hoodie for cold evenings, or a mug for the morning coffee all keep the neighborhood close. For a former resident who moved away, a Fruitvale piece reads as a small piece of home. Add a second line, such as a street, a school or the year they moved, to make it theirs. The shirt can start a conversation with someone who knows the area and show the person you're buying for that you paid attention to where they come from.
