About this geary gift
Geary is a street in San Francisco, and it's the kind of name that means something to people who have lived near it, driven it, or once missed a bus on it. Geary Boulevard runs across the city through the Richmond and Tenderloin districts, and a shirt or mug with the name is for someone with a real connection to that stretch of the city. Maybe they grew up off Geary, or they got through their first apartment hunt there, or they've just never stopped rooting for the place. A gift that names the street reads as a personal joke to people who know it and a curious detail to everyone else. You can keep it simple with the word alone, or add a neighborhood or a year on the second line, such as the year they moved in or the year they finished school in the city. If you're not sure how much they care about the street itself, a hoodie for cold foggy evenings or a mug for the morning commute is a safe way to start the conversation.
