About this german gift
German is a name that tends to be a first name for some people and a nationality or a family surname for others, so the person a shopper has in mind might be a grandfather named German, a friend from a German-speaking family, or a kid who just got a name they'll carry for life. What makes a name gift land is hearing it the way the person hears it, so it helps to know whether they go by German outright or by a nickname that grew from it. A shirt with the name in clean block letters works for someone who's proud of the name, and a second line for a middle name, a nickname or a birth year turns it into something they'd actually wear. For a baby, a onesie with the name across the front makes a practical first gift that's also a keepsake. For someone who's been called German their whole life, a mug with their name on it is the small everyday version of the same idea.
