About this gowanda gift
Gowanda is a small village in Cattaraugus County, New York, and the people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A shirt with the village name is how a former resident signals home to a crowd of strangers, whether that's a college campus, a city apartment or a visit back for a holiday. Small places like this often mean the most to the people who know them by heart, so the design you pick matters less than the personal line you add underneath. A class year, a street, or the name of the family who ran the shop on Main Street can turn a city shirt into a story. Because the village is small, there may be fewer neighbors who recognize it, which makes a Gowanda hoodie or mug a quiet conversation starter for the person who misses it.
