About this grandson gift
A grandson is usually the one who has to be pried away from video games for a family dinner, and who suddenly becomes a serious conversationalist when Grandpa starts talking about his old truck. Gifts for a grandson tend to land when they fit how he spends his time: a soft tee for the skate park, a hoodie for the cold soccer sideline, a mug for the morning cereal before school. Grandparents and aunts often want the gift to say something about the relationship itself, and a shirt that reads Grandson is a simple way to claim him in public. Kids and dark tees come in a range of sizes, and baby onesies make a first-birthday gift that the parents will actually keep. Adding his name or a year on a second line makes the shirt his, not just a generic family tee.
All grandson gifts →- A hoodie for cold game daysGrandson on a hoodie is the thing he'll wear to the games and the cookouts, and it gets softer every wash.
- A kids tee with his nameAdd his first name on the second line so it's clearly his shirt at the pool or the birthday party.
- A mug for the grandparents' kitchenAn 11 oz mug he can fill with hot chocolate when he visits, a small way to make his spot at the table feel official.
- A baby onesie for a new arrivalIf a new grandson is on the way, a onesie with the word on it makes an easy first gift for the parents to keep.
