About this greenbackville gift
Greenbackville is a small place, the kind of town where people know the name of the person at the post office and the family that runs the hardware store. Someone from there who lives somewhere else often carries it around as a point of pride, a small dot on the map they can always point to. A shirt or mug with the town name is how they say where they're from without a long explanation. It suits the person who moved away for work or school and still gets back for the holidays, the one who keeps the town's name on their fridge. It also works for someone who still lives there and wants to wear their hometown everywhere, from the grocery run to the ballgame on a Saturday. For a gift, the easiest way to make it theirs is a second line: a street, a year they moved, or the name of their family's place in town. That turns a town name into their town.
