About this hickory grove gift
Hickory Grove is a name that usually means home, a small place where people know the grocery clerk, the school bus driver and the neighbor who keeps bees. Someone who grew up there or still lives there tends to carry the town with them, and a shirt with the name on it says that without any explanation. It works especially well for the person who moved away and talks about the town more than they probably should. Put the name on a tee or hoodie for a visit home, a homecoming weekend or a holiday when everyone comes back. You can use a second line for a year they were there, a school, or the street they grew up on, which turns a generic town shirt into a memory they recognize. Because the name is specific, it also says something about where they come from, and that's usually the part they're most glad someone noticed.
