About this hickory hill gift
Hickory Hill is a neighborhood on the south side of Memphis, Tennessee, and the people who grew up there tend to carry it with them wherever they go. A shirt with the name on it is a way of saying home without a long explanation. It works for the friend who moved away for work, the cousin who came back for the holidays, or the relative who still roots for the local high school. Hickory Hill is a place people talk about with real affection, so a gift that names it lands better than a generic city souvenir. Add a second line with a street name, a school, or the years they lived there, and the shirt starts to tell their story. The same design on a mug fits the kitchen table, and a hoodie covers the cold mornings of a new city.
