About this high springs gift
High Springs is a small city in north-central Florida, in Alachua County, known to many people as a stop on the way to the Florida springs and rivers country. Someone who lives there, or grew up there, tends to carry that small-town pride into everything: the Friday night high school game, the spring fishing trip, the drive down the same two-lane road they've taken their whole life. A shirt or mug with High Springs on it is how they show where they're from, especially if they've since moved away and miss the slower pace. Add a year, a graduation class, or a street name in the second line and it becomes theirs rather than a generic town souvenir. For the person who stayed, a hoodie works through Florida's mild winter evenings. For the transplant, a mug on the desk is a daily reminder of home.
