About this holtsville gift
Holtsville is a hamlet in the town of Islip on Long Island, New York, and the people who grew up there tend to carry it with them, whether they're still around the Sunrise Highway corridor or have moved across the country. A Holtsville shirt is how they claim the place: for a family reunion, a visit back to see the folks, or just a bit of home in a crowded city. Because it's a small community, a design with the hamlet name is more personal than a generic town shirt, and it's easy to add a second line for a street, a school or the year they left. For someone who's moved away, an 11 oz mug in the morning is a small daily reminder of where they're from. For a Long Island family, a hoodie carries them through the cold months and a kids tee lets the next generation wear the name too.
