About this hydaburg gift
Hydaburg is a small city on Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska, home to a Haida community with deep roots in the area. Hydaburg has a population of roughly a few hundred people, so the people who live there or left for school and work tend to hold onto their hometown with real pride. A shirt or mug with the city name is a way to carry that home with them, whether they're in Anchorage, Seattle or somewhere far outside Alaska. Because it's such a small place, a Hydaburg design often starts conversations about where it is and why it matters to them. For a graduate, a relative who moved away, or someone who grew up on the island, a hoodie or mug with Hydaburg written on it says this is where they come from. You can add a second line with a year, a family name or a neighborhood-style detail to make it theirs.
