About this illinois city gift
Illinois City is a small place, and people who grew up there tend to hold on to it. A shirt with the town name is how they say so at a reunion, a high school game, or a family visit when they're back home for a week. Smaller towns mean a lot of people know exactly where you're from, so the shirt becomes a conversation starter with strangers who've also driven through or have a cousin there. For someone who left for college or a job in Chicago or farther off, a hoodie or mug with the town name brings back the feeling of coming home. For a relative who never left, a shirt is a friendly joke about how nothing ever changes. You can add a second line for a year, a school class, or a family name, which makes the gift feel like theirs and not a souvenir from the town's main street.
