About this janet gift
Janet is a name with some history behind it. It's a diminutive of Jane, it was one of the most popular girls' names in the US for much of the twentieth century, and plenty of Janets are now grandmothers, teachers, nurses or friends who have been around long enough to be the one everyone calls in a crisis. A gift that just says Janet feels a little plain, so think about what she's actually into. If she's the one who runs the book club or the Saturday farmers market, a tee with her name and a line about that gets a laugh and a wear. For a Janet with a new baby on the way, a onesie with the name is a gift that will outlast the shower. A mug is an easy choice for the coffee drinker who already has a hundred mugs, and a hoodie works for the Janet who still runs cold in air-conditioned offices. Add a second line for her nickname, a year or an inside joke, and the shirt becomes hers rather than just a name on fabric.
