About this kaneohe gift
Kaneohe is a town on the windward side of Oahu, tucked between the Koolau mountains and Kaneohe Bay, and plenty of the people who live there grew up with a view of the water and the peaks. For someone from Kaneohe, or anyone who has spent time on that side of the island, a shirt with the town name is a quiet way of saying where home is. It works well as a gift for a local who has moved to the mainland and misses the drive over the hills, or for a family member who still lives there and wears their hometown with pride. A hoodie suits the cooler evenings and the trade winds that pick up in the afternoons, while a mug is the everyday reminder at the kitchen table. Add a second line, a neighborhood, a school or a graduation year, and the design becomes specific to them rather than a generic island souvenir.
