About this la feria gift
La Feria is a small town in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, and the people who grew up there tend to carry it with them wherever they go. Someone who left for college in San Antonio or a job in Houston still gets homesick for the local food, the heat that settles in by May, and the high school football nights. A shirt or mug with La Feria on it is a quick way to show where they're from without having to explain it, and it lands best when it's paired with a detail only someone from there would recognize. Add the year they graduated, the high school class, or the family name in the second line. For a relative who still lives there, a hoodie for the cooler months makes sense, since the winters are mild and a light layer is what gets worn most. If you're not sure how much someone from La Feria cares about the town, a mug is the safest pick, because it's the thing they'll reach for every morning.
