About this locust dale gift
Locust Dale is a small place, and people who come from it tend to hold on to that. Whether they grew up there, moved away for work, or just drive through on the back roads of Virginia and stop for a sandwich, a shirt with the name is a way of saying where they're from without a long explanation. A small town means everybody knows somebody, so a shirt is easy to spot at a reunion, a high school game or a family cookout far from home. Locust Dale is also the kind of place where people keep their traditions, and a hoodie for a winter evening or a mug for the kitchen table fits how people there actually live. For a transplant who misses home, a Locust Dale mug in the morning is a small reminder. Add the year they graduated or the year they moved, and the shirt becomes a personal record instead of a souvenir.
