About this matawan gift
Matawan is a small borough in Monmouth County, New Jersey, and the people who grew up there tend to stay attached to it, whether they still live down the road or have moved across the state. A Matawan shirt is how they claim the town at the Fourth of July parade, at a reunion, or on a weekend walk past the old school. Because it's a small place, the people who love it often know each other, so a shirt that says Matawan on the front reads as local to the people who matter. The product matters too: a hoodie suits a cold game or a long drive home, a mug fits the kitchen of someone who misses home, and a kids tee lets a young family member start wearing their hometown early. If you know a street, a school or a year they lived there, put it on the second line. That detail is what turns a town name into their town.
