About this mesquite gift
Mesquite is a city of about 180,000 people just east of Dallas, and it has a strong local identity that people carry with them. Mesquite folks take pride in their roots, whether they grew up in the old downtown or moved out to the newer subdivisions, and a shirt with the city name is how they claim it at the high school game, the county fair or the Texas Thanksgiving table. A Mesquite tee or hoodie works well for someone who's proud of their hometown and doesn't mind saying so. For the Mesquite native who moved away for work or school, a mug or onesie with the city name is a small way to say they still belong there. You can add a second line with a neighborhood, a high school class year or a family name, which turns a city shirt into something that means more to the person wearing it.
