About this nanjemoy gift
Nanjemoy is a small, unincorporated community in Charles County, Maryland, on the Potomac River, the kind of place people leave and then keep coming back to in their heads. Someone who grew up there, or whose family is from there, usually has a story about the river, the back roads and a town where everybody knows which house is whose. A shirt with Nanjemoy on it is how they say so without a long explanation, and it lands well with anyone who has ever had to spell the name for a waiter or a DMV clerk. Many of the designs carry a second line, so you can add a street, a graduation year or the year the family moved in. For the person who lives far from home now, a mug with the name on it is a quiet, daily reminder. Because Nanjemoy is a small place, I'd check the preview closely to make sure the name sits well on the design you pick.
