About this new athens gift
New Athens is a small place, and people who come from there tend to carry it with them. Whether they grew up on the main street or left for school and kept coming back for holidays, a shirt with the town name is an easy way to say where they're from. Small towns often have a single school, a single diner and a single stretch of road everyone knows, so the best gifts pick up on that closeness. Add a graduating class year, a high school mascot, or the zip code if that's the detail they'd recognize right away. A hoodie suits the person heading into a cold winter somewhere new, and a mug fits the kitchen of someone who misses home. You don't need to know the town's history to make this work; you only need to know the person and what the place means to them.
