About this new burnside gift
New Burnside is a street in Portland, Oregon, and the name carries weight for people who skate, ride bikes, or grew up around the city's older neighborhoods. Someone who lives there or left town and misses it will recognize the name right away. A shirt with New Burnside on the front is a quiet way to say where you're from, and it works for a day at the park, a trip back to Portland, or just the morning coffee routine. Because Portland locals tend to be proud of their city's small corners, a neighborhood-level detail often means more than the city name alone. If you know a particular part of town they care about, put it on the second line. The mug and hoodie make good everyday pieces, and the tees suit a summer weekend. Since this is a place name, the best way to make it theirs is to add whatever they connect with the street, such as a year they moved there or the neighborhood they grew up in.
