About this new sarpy gift
New Sarpy is a small city in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana, sitting across the river from the older parts of the metro area. People who grew up there tend to carry it with them, whether they still live down the road or have moved off to Texas or Atlanta. A New Sarpy shirt is how they claim the place on a Saturday at the boat launch, at a family cookout, or in a crowd of people from somewhere else. Because it's a close-knit community, the gift lands best when it's personal: add a street, a school year, or a family name on the second line so it reads as theirs. Hoodies work well for cool evenings on the levee, and mugs suit the transplant who misses home. For younger family members, a kids tee or baby onesie gives the next generation an early claim to where they're from.
