About this oaklandon gift
Oaklandon is a small community on the northeast side of Indianapolis, and the people who live there tend to be proud of it in a quiet, neighborly way. A shirt with Oaklandon on it is for the person who never left town, the one who grew up going to the same school and still knows the neighbors' dogs by name, or the one who moved away and misses the place every time someone asks where they're from. Because it's a smaller place, a shirt or mug with the name is more of a conversation starter than a souvenir, and locals will recognize it right away. For a homecoming, a family reunion or a new house warming, a hoodie with the town name feels personal in a way a generic Indiana shirt doesn't. A mug works well for the person who wants a small daily reminder of home, especially if they're living somewhere much bigger now.
