About this okauchee gift
Okauchee is a small village in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, on the shore of Okauchee Lake, and the people who grew up there tend to hold onto the place. A shirt with the village name is how they claim it, whether they still live a few streets from the lake or have moved to a city hours away. It suits the lake crowd who spend summers on the water and the families who have been there for generations. Add a year, a street, or the name of the family's cabin under the village name and it becomes personal rather than a souvenir. A hoodie is a good fit for the cold months on the lake, and a mug is the everyday reminder for someone who misses home. If you're buying for a few people from the same village, the Team Shop lets you order one design with each person's name on their own shirt.
