About this placitas gift
Placitas is a small community in Sandoval County, New Mexico, in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains, north of Albuquerque. People who live there tend to be proud of the quiet, the big sky and the mountain views, and a lot of them have moved from somewhere busier to get that. A Placitas shirt is a way to claim the place, whether it's for someone who grew up there and comes back for holidays, or someone who just settled in and wants to wear where they live. Because the town is small, a shirt or mug that names it will stand out in a way a generic city tee never does. Pair the word with a second line for a street, a neighborhood or the year they moved in, and it becomes personal. A hoodie suits the cooler mornings in the mountains, and a mug fits the kitchen where they start their day with that view.
