About this portsmouth gift
Portsmouth people tend to be proud of a place that's smaller than its reputation, a seaport on the Piscataqua with old brick streets, a working waterfront and a downtown that's become a favorite for weekend visitors. A Portsmouth shirt is how someone who grew up there, or moved there for the harbor and the restaurants, shows it. It works as a hometown souvenir for anyone who's left, the cousin in another state or the college kid who keeps saying they miss the ocean. Add a second line with a neighborhood, a school or a graduation year and it becomes theirs rather than a generic city tee. Portsmouth also draws visitors on vacation, so a mug or tee can be the thing someone brings home for the person who stayed behind. Keep the design simple and let the city name carry it.
