About this portville gift
Portville is a small place, and a shirt with its name on it tends to be for people who know exactly where it is. A Portville shirt is how someone who grew up there says so, whether they're still in town or living three states away and wearing it to a neighborhood barbecue just to see who notices. Small towns run on being known, so a shirt that names the place reads as a kind of belonging rather than a souvenir. It works especially well for the person who keeps coming back for the holidays, the former resident who misses home, or the new neighbor who has decided to take the town on as their own. Add a second line for a street, a year they moved in, or a local nickname, and the design starts to sound like their version of the place. Hoodies suit cold-weather walks past the same old landmarks, and a mug is the easy everyday reminder for the kitchen counter.
