About this pottersdale gift
Pottersdale is a small place, and people who grew up there tend to hold onto it. Someone who left for college or a job in another city still checks the local news and asks about the old diner. A shirt or mug with the town name is how they say where they're from without having to explain it. It also works for the person who never left, who wears it to the high school game or the summer festival and gets asked about it constantly. For a small town, the details people care about are usually local: the street they lived on, the year they moved away, the graduating class. Add one of those on the second line, or pick a hoodie for the cold months, and the gift stops being a generic town souvenir and becomes theirs. Mugs suit the relative who keeps a kitchen full of local things, and kids tees make a good first souvenir for a family that's visiting home.
