About this rio grande gift
Rio Grande names a river, a city in Texas and a city in Colorado, and the people who carry it are often proud of where they're from in a way that's easy to spot. Someone from the Texas border town might wear it on a tee with a touch of pride, while a Colorado Rio Grande kid heads off to college with the name on a hoodie that everyone asks about. The name is long and sounds like a song, so a shirt with it reads as a conversation starter. For the person who grew up somewhere along the river and moved away, a mug with their hometown is the kind of small reminder that gets used every morning. Add a second line for the graduation year, a high school or a family nickname to make it theirs, and the gift stops being a souvenir and starts being about them.
