About this salkum gift
Salkum is a small town in Lewis County, Washington, and the people who call it home tend to be proud of it in a quiet way. A Salkum shirt is how they say so at the county fair, at a high school reunion, or on a trip where someone asks where they're from and they get to explain. Small towns mean people wear their hometown for years, so a design that feels like it belongs to the place lands better than a generic souvenir. A hoodie suits the cold months, and a mug is the everyday reminder for someone who moved away and still thinks of home. Add a year, a graduating class or a family name on the second line and it becomes theirs. Because the town is small, a shirt with a name or a year will feel more personal than anything you could find in a shop.
