About this san francisco gift
San Francisco people tend to carry the city with them in a specific way: the fog that rolls in by mid-afternoon in summer, the hills that make everyone a little smug about their legs, the Golden Gate in every photo they've ever taken. Whether they still live there or moved away for work and miss the bay, a San Francisco shirt is how they claim the place. A tee works for the Giants game, a weekend in the Mission, or just a cold morning when a hoodie makes sense. The city is a patchwork of neighborhoods, and the locals will tell you which one they're from before you ask. Put Sunset, Richmond, Mission or North Beach on a second line and the shirt becomes about their part of town. For the transplant who has been gone a few years, a mug is a daily reminder of the hills, the fog, and the sourdough they still order by name.
